The goal of My Fatherís House is
to provide a safe environment, a place of transformation for
formerly homeless men to transition back into self-sufficiency. My
Fatherís House will accomplish this by providing the men with more
than just a bed. The residents will be part of a Christian program
that will introduce them to restoration through Jesus Christ.
Regular church services and daily prayer will provide the men with a
strong foundation for developing a relationship with God and a heart
for service. In addition to the spiritual education, the men will
also be required to take part in other daily educational classes
focusing on; substance abuse education, budgeting and money
management, housing preparation, employment readiness, health
education, etc. The residents will also be required to work, either
in the community or in and around the house.
The men that are unable to work,
due to disability or any other reason will be required to work at
the house doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, landscaping, or any
other jobs necessary to maintain a proper household. The residents
will also be encouraged to volunteer at hospitals, food pantries,
meal programs, or any other acceptable programs within the Palmer
Residents at My Fatherís House
will be referred by local churches, shelters, detox facilities, and
hospitals. Upon referral the staff at My Fatherís House will review
the application in detail and verify all pertinent background
